London: Indian singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh recently tried London’s most expensive coffee, priced at £265 (about Rs 31,000), at Cafe Shot in London.
Known for his candid and humorous social media presence, Dosanjh shared his experience via Instagram, explaining that he came specifically to try the rare Japan Typica coffee sourced from Okinawa, Japan.
Despite the high cost, Dosanjh described the coffee as bland, joking that it needed something sweet alongside it. The gold-cup-served brew is notable for its rarity and purity, as confirmed by Cafe Shot staff, with beans grown in a challenging Japanese climate, making them scarce.
UK barista champion Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood noted the rarity of Japanese coffee as a key reason behind its steep price. Dosanjh’s lighthearted review quickly went viral, resonating with fans who appreciated his honest take on the luxury coffee trend.
This episode highlights the curiosity and varied responses to premium global coffee experiences.
